Quentin Dupieux, known for pushing the boundaries of reality in his comedy films such as Rubber and Wrong, premiered his latest film at the Directors' Fortnight section of the Cannes Film Festival. The film introduces us to Georges, a peculiar anti-hero who never takes off his leather jacket and exhibits unstable, obsessive, and psychopathic behavior. Georges, who wants his leather jacket to remain the only one in the world, easily succumbs to madness. Starting off as a cunning dark comedy, Leather Jacket, true to Dupieux's style, evolves into an absurd snuff murder film filled with bizarre characters and unimaginable situations. Avoiding predictability, the film takes a creative twist, providing an unconventional and unpredictable experience for the audience.
