The East, an eco-anarchist organization, targets major corporations involved in corruption and cover-ups of criminal records. The group's actions, aimed at making the global elite taste their own exploitation, quickly gain attention in the mainstream media. Hiller Brood, a private security firm, hires Sarah Moss, a former FBI agent, to infiltrate the organization as a protector for VIP clients. Once inside, Sarah develops a close relationship with the group's leader, Benji, and starts to sympathize with The East's ideas and ideals. Caught between two different worlds and roles, Sarah must now make a choice. This film, referencing the Earth Liberation Front, a notorious "terrorist" organization on the US list, depicts the destructive direct actions carried out against companies causing ecological devastation in recent years. It is one of the anticipated independent films of the year.
